Deseret Industries

I just got home from volunteering at the Provo D.I. with Brad Wake. We had fun collecting donations and throwing clothes into the clothing baler. I even got to walk out with a new piece of furniture. It's a DVD rack for Hunter so his media stuff doesn't lie around everywhere. What once took up an entire corner of our livingroom, now takes up only two vertical shelves.

They told me at the D.I. that if I wanted to work there for three months, they would pay for $3000 of a vocational school like EMT training (only $650-700) or even graphic design school. They are looking for "hard workers" to set examples for the "other" workers there. The pay would be $11/hour.

Shall I consider that?

    Three months is very do-able and $3000 is a big incentive if only you HAD IT IN WRITING! I'd be tempted if you could stand the smell and the nature of the work. Did you trust the guy who told you this or is it likely to be misunderstood or flaky? I think it would be great to be able to write it down as a "supervisiory position" on a future resume and try to use it to lift people and maybe change some lives.

    DO IT!!! That sounds like a great in. I would definitely like it someone offered to pay school for me! If it's a true offer, I'd jump on it. What are you doing right now? nada.

The Secret Reason Why "Good Witch" Feels Emotionally Off

TL;DR It's the Botox. For the past 3 months, my wife, Stacia, and I have been watching  Good Witch  (via Netflix and Amazon Prime). Stacia adores winding down to "Hallmark-y shows." We can rely on Good Witch episodes to always resolve happily. The episodes are never too intense. The height of conflict revolves around things like someone's inability to locate the perfect spot to snap a romantic photo for a new tourism brochure. I consider my time watching these shows spouse bonding time , and emotional training. My favorite thing about watching feel-good shows with Stacia is getting to observe her facial reactions to the on-screen drama. When two people lean in for a long-anticipated kiss, Stacia tucks her knees into her chest and frowns with her forehead while lifting her chin and bottom lip. Who's Got The Funk?

I am an amateur guitarist, and I've got no funk. My musical skills seem to lacking that special something . Great musicians have it . Those fortunate enough to have gotten hold of  it , create timeless hits. While musicians without it  fade into oblivion. After spending hours searching through Blues history websites and 1970's band documentaries online, I discovered what that special something  is thank to a (70% Man, 30% fish) character from the BBC show "The Mighty Boosh" named Old Gregg.
