Dream Journal: Skin Mines (October 14, 2009)

Preface I woke up early this morning to work on a group project. I can typically sleep in until 10am without an alarm to wake me. But this morning, I woke myself up, without assistance, at 6am sharp. And when my sleeping schedule is disrupted, my dreams are drastically affected. Not only are they more vivid, but they sometimes scare me with how insane they seem. Dream This morning, I dreamed that I woke up with more than 20 tiny, military-grade landmines buried in an inch of sand that covered my body. Each mine was set to explode 1.5 seconds after it was detonated. In order to remove them, I had to pinch the single antenna that poked up out of the sand and throw it across the room without disrupting the other landmines. This removal method was risky and time-consuming. My other option was quickly jumping out of bed and running to the other side of the room before the mines exploded. After trying to remove them one by one for a couple of minutes, I decided that it would be...

Obama To Enter Diplomatic Talks With Raging Wildfire

If anyone can do it, the laureate for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize can! J.K. Obama was just as displeased with the Nobel Prize as the rest of the Estados Unidos. Obama's Subsequent Award :)

Logan 2009 Corn Maze

FHE Logan, UT 7:00-8:30pm October 12, 2009 Only $3.50 each When we arrived, we split into two teams of five. We raced to the end and my team came in SECOND PLACE! I was stoked. (We were only 20 seconds behind the winning team in a one hour race.) My poor roommate had a rough time though. He tore his ACL a couple of months ago and anytime he stepped on a bump his knee buckled, causing him excruciating pain. When we got home, he told me the top five reasons why corn mazes suck. Top Five Reasons Why Corn Mazes Suck : 1. Mud in the shoes 2. Freezing cold 3. Scary people, scaring you 4. Typically $7+ 5. Getting lost isn't fun. It's frustrating Everyone else had fun though. Here's some proof: LOST FOLLOWING NEARING THE END FINALLY DONE! Good times.

Funny Videos from Around the Net (October 12, 2009)

1. Music Video: The Fray covering Kanye's Heartless . I love the artwork on this video. The music is excellent as well; better than both Kanye's and Kris Allen's versions. (Watch for the Kanye cameos.) 2. At what age do you think this would be safe to try? Age 3? Good news for you, Sienna! 3. “Yo dawg! I herd u liked video games, so we put a video game inside your video game so u can play video games when you’re playing with your video games!” 4. What a tool! Just give the poor kid his ice cream. (Would you like it if this happened to you or would you just get ticked off?) 5. Auto Tune the News #5 - Smoking Lettuce A band, called The Greggory Brothers, takes news clips from FOX News and makes a commentary on media and politics by editing the clips together using Auto Tune. This video includes a subtle "S-word" so I decided not to included the video here to maintain the sanctity of this blog, but if you liked the T-Pain and Obama vid...
