How To Make Office Darts

The Office is back on NBC. Season 6 started on Thursday. I have only one question: WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS?! “ A boring day at the office can be remedied by an impromptu game of darts during coffee break, but your boss probably won’t be receptive to your bringing a dartboard to work. Instead, you can make darts and a dartboard out of common things found on or around your desk, get a few of your co-workers together, and enjoy a good old game of office darts.”

Earning My Karate White Belt

Bobby Lawrence Karate White Belt Class Experience After having attended only two classes at Bobby Lawerence's Karate Center in Orem, I earned a white belt and participated in the sacred ritual of board breaking. Breaking a board is a metaphor for passing through the trials/illusions in our lives. My illusion is that I lack the self mastery to the art of exclusive focus. If I could wave a magic wand and change one thing about my self, at this time, I would wish for great concentration and ability to focus on a singular thing or event at the exclusion of all else. When I study my academic readings, I am too easily distracted. This principle of focus has many levels. The most basic is that of exclusion. It is represented by the white dot on a black background on the symbol for Yin Yang. Focus of awareness is represented by the black dot on a white background where you are "at one with the universe" and are able to sense all things simultaneously. Having only e...

Dream Journal: Goose Droppings (September 17, 2009)

The Dream In my dream last night, part of my responsiblity as Inter-chapter Treasurer for the Logan Institute Men's Association was to walk through the Institute building at midnight and turn off all of the lights. (I guess I was trying to save money.) While I made my rounds, the building slowing turned into an abandoned insane asylum. I saw claw marks on the walls and shredded drapes and headless dolls. But the scariest thing I saw was a large-scale, miniature castle made [poorly] out of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Oh, the travesty! There was paste all over it; there was no way to salvage the lost cereal. I couldn't imagine what sick mind would waste so much perfectly good cereal?! The very thought made me shudder. When I was finished, I had to walk the 10 blocks back to my apartment. I'm not sure why, but I had my school shoulder bag with me. My laptop was in my unzipped bag so with it's open side exposed to the air. Suddenly, I heard a goose squawk and...

Smattering of Anti-culture

I feel like a lot of single boys are waiting for a girl to "show up" in their lives and magically fall in love with them and bear them children. They fail to realize that girls are all around them, but they need to man-up and be the one to make something happen. This sign, explains the situation well. A Depressed Demolition Machine Pray you never meet this individual in real life. Since there has been so much controversy surrounding Obama's vote for more government control, I thought the following pictures would be of interest Utah parents' response to Obama's speech on education

How to Hold Hands With the Girl or Boy in Whom You Are Interested

Learn how to read a person just by looking at their hand using the ancient art of palmistry. Basics of Palmistry: *Heart Line - (Top, horizontal line) Relationships *Head Line - (Horizontal line beneath the Heart Line) Intellectual prowess *Life Line - (Slopes from horizontal to vertical) Enthusiasm for life, not longevity *Fate Line - (Center line that bisects the hand) Career Remember, "your fate is not what is on your hands, but in your hands. Your lines only reveal your past." Your future is up to you.
