Top 20 Attributes I Find Attractive in Women

People who know me (especially women who want to set me up on dates) have asked me what I look for in a potential spouse. So I thought I'd save future inquisitrixes the trouble of asking and just post a list.  (NOTE: This is not a list of qualities I require of my future spouse.  I'm not sure I'd require anything of a spouse.  But if I did, I'd lean towards this cutsie quote I heard my MTC director, Richard Heaton, who said: choose a woman who, if you die, will get your kids back to heaven.)

Top 20 Traits:

  1. Shared eternal goals (stipulation: they can't just say, "me too" )
  2. Attractive and well-kept (but not too well—you know, cleans up nicely but feels comfortable rockin' the ponytail)
  3. Affectionate (Flirtatious with me)
  4. Goal-driven
    1. Playfully confident personality
    2. Independent (Doesn't exclusively rely on others for amusement)
    3. Optimitstic (Looks for the good)
  5. Hard worker / Diligent
  6. Consumate learner (Never "arrives")
  7. Thinks I'm funny
  8. Patient with my silly, hypothetical conversations
  9. Compassionate / Unselfish (outward focused)
  10. Natural / Genuine / Sincere
  11. Service-minded / Thoughtful (looks for opportunities to serve others)
  12. Healthy (or at least deals with health issues in a positive/healthy way)
  13. Understands the value of money (frugal, yet charitable and willing to spend appropriately)
  14. Good mixer (socially affable)
  15. Feminine/Mannerly (not just one of the boys)
  16. Athletic (especially activities we could do together e.g., hike, jog, swim, yoga, tennis)
  17. Plays a musical instrument (which shows discipline e.g., voice, piano)
  18. Enjoys to cook and eat like me (i.e., we don't have to cook 2 meals to eat together)
  19. Dependable (finishes what she starts)
  20. Skiing and boating NOT a major part of her life (I despise the cold, and the pain of falling.)

The "Rummikub" Pronunciation Debate Affirmative Constructive: "Cub" For years, I have been a firm advocate and defender of the pronunciation, Rummi-"CUB".  The game box I grew up with spelled it, Rummicub  on the box. Who's Got The Funk?

I am an amateur guitarist, and I've got no funk. My musical skills seem to lacking that special something . Great musicians have it . Those fortunate enough to have gotten hold of  it , create timeless hits. While musicians without it  fade into oblivion. After spending hours searching through Blues history websites and 1970's band documentaries online, I discovered what that special something  is thank to a (70% Man, 30% fish) character from the BBC show "The Mighty Boosh" named Old Gregg. He identified that  thing  as  The Funk ! But what exactly is The Funk ? Here is some dialogue from the show to help explain its origin and purpose: Old Gregg: You're a musician, yeah? The Hit Single *Bang!* by AJR is about Suicide

Introduction I listened to the lyrics to the AJR song,  BANG!  for the first time today and immediately noticed its connection to suicide. Curious why this wasn't obvious to more people, I googled it and discovered that I may be  one of the few people who think this way. I'm not crazy, right? Pexels.com Song Analysis Listen to the chorus: "Everybody come hang (come hang). Let's go out with a bang. Bang! Bang! Bang!" These repeated words brought to my mind a couple of terrifying statistics:  Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for college-age youth and youth ages 12-18 ( CDC WISQARS ) The two leading methods of suicide (in high-income countries) are hanging and firearms ( The Parent Resource Program ). As I continued to examine the song lyrics, I realized EVERYTHING about the song supported my interpretation. This radio hit doesn't necessarily glorify suicide.
