I found him! He's was on Google Maps on the other side of the world.
He's right HERE, on Putney High St, Wandsworth, London SW15, United Kingdom.
One University just made the such significantly more difficult. Remember on the last page of the The Great Waldo Search [The Yellow Book] where there were Waldos and red and white paraphernalia all over the place? Yeah.
On April 2nd, 2009, the Rutgers University Programming Association (RUPA) and Rutgers Student Life broke the Guinness World Record for The World’s Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Waldo from the iconic picture book series, Where’s Waldo?. 1,052 Rutgers students, staff and community members were spotted “showing their stripes” at the historic State Theatre located in downtown New Brunswick, New Jersey. Rutgers smashed the previous record, set by 577 Acuity Insurance Employees in Sheboygan, Wisconsin at the Acuity Insurance headquarters.

Interesting fact: My British/Irish friend calls it "Where's Wally?" and has no idea what I'm talking about if I refer to "Waldo."
ReplyDeleteNice reminiscence from my past. I remember spending hours pouring over those pages. How funny that the University all dressed like Waldo. Was that one picture of a Muslim prayer?
ReplyDeleteI too remember many hours of searching for him in our three? Waldo books.
