Some of you may still be wondering, "What does it mean to be 'Emo'?"
Emo is a thing now. Most people are aware of what it is, but people like my mom still need some education on the subject. Well friends, wonder no longer. Provided HERE are a number of definitions from Urban Dictionary.com from which you may gather further knowledge. To summarize, someone who is"Emo" suffers from emotional pain. They dress in tight-fitting, dark-colored clothes and listen to musicians who scream about how the world hates them. Many wear their hair just over their eyes and sport black studded belts. Some of the more hardcore emo kids feel the need cut themselves in various places to "numb the emotional pain they feel inside," especially on the wrists. My take is that they are simply doing their best to compensate for some past emotional trauma or lack of love/appreciation. Below are a few pics of people/things EMO. I hope you find this educational...
Emo culture is stereotypically associated with the emotional sensitive/unstable. Some boys find it is advantageous to act "emo" because they fail to develop what is considered normal relationships with other boys and they feel more comfortable around girls. Longer hair is grown out and typically covers the eyes. It's like an adolescent version of peek-a-boo; some consider it an unspoken cry for attention. Some just think girls like sensitive guys.
Only funny if you don't have friends that "cut."
Get a hair cut. And quit playing D&D.
I learned from a girl named Candice at RHS that you cut up and down, not sideways; that is, if you REALLY want to die.

I've never heard of EMO. I think the funniest one was the electric shaver instead of a razor blade. Glad you're not emo.
