PART I - This dream was vivid, like the rest. But this time, I only included chunks of the detailed dream in this account. Tell me, do you prefer to have the full dream in summary or chunky details?
I went in and began to browse. The first thing that caught my eye was a super discounted Speedo on the sales rack (Size M). $15.95?! That's outlandish! Then my eyes raced to some boots that looked like they were from outer space (very cool). On the other side, I was drawn to a snazzy, brown jacket (similar to the one I already have).
The sales man was closing up. Asked me what I was looking at. Took my items downstairs and told me, there may be something we can do about the price on these items. Not wanting to miss a deal I followed him.
Soon, all the racks were taken down by store employees and the remaining shoppers were ushered to tables situated around the room. We were being made card carrying members of Sports Authority. In order to qualify for the card we had to sit through their initiation. This included playing at least one round of poker. I hated poker. And I hated being made a member of something that I didn't even ask to be a part of!
To ensure that we were all playing by the rules, a store employee sat in at each of the tables. I grumbled. "I had better be getting at least 50% off my sales price or spending my time here will not be worth it."
45 minutes into the pitch, my table had only dealt one hand. (I suppose I wasn't the only customer who wasn't familiar with the rules of poker.) Without looking back at the cash registers where my would be clothes lay, I walked out of the store and drove away.
PART II
Still in search of adventure, I found myself on a freeway that was very poorly planned. One lane of northbound traffic broke from its normal path and fed right down the middle of the southbound lanes. There were no barriers or safety guards to protect the cars in this rouge lane from the other 4 lanes of oncoming traffic. I was in the Southbound lane watching and waiting for catastrophe to happen.
Then I heard sirens and saw police units being directed to a location just off the freeway. I exited and became part of a huge backup filled with commuters and news crews and police.
I parked illegally and made my way to the source of the confusion. 2 Puerto Ricans in gas masks with picket signs on one side of the road and the actress Eva Mendez [Hitch] in a lawn chair on the other side of the road.
The chunks are better sometimes, the full stories at other times. You decide which for each situation.
ReplyDeleteYour mind works in weird ways.
ReplyDeleteEva es preciosa, tambien, ?verdad?
ReplyDeleteI like the chunks as they usually tell all the most important stuff; but sometimes its fun to read the clever way you choose to express details about what is happening to you! (when you're really into it!)
