Dream Update: Dreams of my roommates Dan and Chen

I thought I'd put a little twist on this update by sharing with you a selection of dreams from two of my roommates, Dan and Chen:

Dan's Dream:

So, here is a summary of my dream from last night, courtesy of the Dark Knight. I was the Dark Knight, or at least looking back that's what it amounts to. The Joker was after my family, I had to stop him, and it was intense. I barely got my sister out of her elementary school before he blew it up. The Joker then stabbed my bro bad, but somehow my bro was able to escape barely alive. I went on the hunt, desperate to find him. In a large, deserted warehouse I ran into the Joker's henchmen and gunned them down in a firefight (using the skills I acquired last week while picking off water bottles with my roommate's Airsoft gun). Then I found him. He had my brother in a choke hold, holding a knife to his neck. In a surge of anger I flung myself at the Joker, knocking him away from my brother, landing on top of him, and pummeling him into submission. Then I woke up.

Chen's Dream:

It was amazing to have such a dream. I dreamed Prof. Li and myself were on the name list of the 2008 National Scientific Foundation last Sunday. Yesterday, Prof. Li told my wife my proposal has been approved, and this too. My dream came true. And I want to have another lucky dream tonight.

The Secret Reason Why "Good Witch" Feels Emotionally Off

TL;DR It's the Botox. For the past 3 months, my wife, Stacia, and I have been watching  Good Witch  (via Netflix and Amazon Prime). Stacia adores winding down to "Hallmark-y shows." We can rely on Good Witch episodes to always resolve happily. The episodes are never too intense. The height of conflict revolves around things like someone's inability to locate the perfect spot to snap a romantic photo for a new tourism brochure. I consider my time watching these shows spouse bonding time , and emotional training. My favorite thing about watching feel-good shows with Stacia is getting to observe her facial reactions to the on-screen drama. When two people lean in for a long-anticipated kiss, Stacia tucks her knees into her chest and frowns with her forehead while lifting her chin and bottom lip. Who's Got The Funk?

I am an amateur guitarist, and I've got no funk. My musical skills seem to lacking that special something . Great musicians have it . Those fortunate enough to have gotten hold of  it , create timeless hits. While musicians without it  fade into oblivion. After spending hours searching through Blues history websites and 1970's band documentaries online, I discovered what that special something  is thank to a (70% Man, 30% fish) character from the BBC show "The Mighty Boosh" named Old Gregg.
