Dream Journal: Wooing the Rockafellers (May 9, 2009)

Dream After being honorably sent home from my mission for medical [mutant] reasons, my Dad sent me on a trip to Washington DC where I would spend the day with a powerful attorney. The day was boring and I only saw my Dad's friend once; the rest of the time I spent shuffling papers with only of the many legal-secretaries that he had. At the end of the day, "Mr. Rockafeller" gave me a ticket to a formal gathering. He said I could think of it as a ball without the dancing. Then he gave me the address of his personal tailor who would find something suitable for me to wear. Once I was outfitted in a $1500 tuxado, I made my way to the danceless ball. There, Mrs. Rockafeller picked me out of the crowd and introduced me to her son so that he would show me around and help me meet new people. The son ditched me. So I found a small group of girls to mingle with. I told them about my situation and they all took terrific pity on me. (Can I just say, that these girls were...

Typical Guy/Girl Miscommunication

Amanda asked me today : "Do you like the shampoo I recommended?" Being dense, I only realized later that night what Amanda meant. What she probably meant : Are you happy with me for getting you a special deal on the shampoo and conditioner you wanted using my hair-styling connections? (Or in other words, tell me that you are happy so that I may derive happiness from your happiness.) I replied : "I've only used thiiiiiis much [holding my hands close together]!" What I Meant : I like them so much that I use only a little bit at a time. What she must have thought I meant : He doesn't like them very much. . . ---------------- Listening to: Michael Buble - You'll Never Know

Phone Upgrade Time at T-Mobile

It's time again to upgrade phones. Thanks to my family's terrific customer loyalty, the service people usually give us extra-good deals on phones. I've never had to pay for one as long as I can remember. Every 22 months, I get to upgrade for free. These are the traits I'm looking for in a phone: * High Resolution camera (2 mp is acceptable, 3 is good, more than 3.5 is what I want.) * Sturdy/Reliable (something that won't fall apart at 16 months like my last phone.) * Good battery standby time. (It won't go dead after "10 days".) * Buttons are easy to use. Large and easily distinguishable. * Cool looking. * Simple. I will now need your votes: 5. Sony Ericsson TM506 - Emerald 4. Nokia 5610 - White 3. Nokia 6301 2. I couldn't find the one I saw in the store while searching online, but it has a 5 mp camera. 1. Samsung Behold - Espresso Tell me what you know about phones.

Dream Journal: Super Power Missionary (May 8, 2009)

Dream I was serving a second mission somewhere on the East coast. The funny thing was the area looked desserty, like Albuquerque. I lived in an townhouse built for four. It had VERY old books. I was tempted to take some home with me when the time came to leave. One of the books was a HUGE, leather, hardbound edition of Pride and Prejudice. I came to find out that the people we were serving were occupied by a foreign government, like Ancient Babylon and the Jews. There was a lake that our city was built next to. We went swimming a lot. That's not the only mission rule I broke. My companion and I slept in the same bed [don't worry, it was very innocent; like Joseph Smith and his siblings.] And I would always sleep in an hour when I was supposed to be doing personal study. One day, the national guard was sent in and ordered everyone to pack up their belongings; we were all being sent home. The only catch was that we weren't allowed to talk, otherwise we would...
