Funny Images from Around the Net (September 13, 2008)

Which of my dormant career skills will I choose to develop? Marriage. There are some real winners in this compilation! Teen pregnancy stats are shocking. It didn't work out so well for the Native Americans--maybe we can learn from them and save some budget. Why don't terrorists hate the Swiss? Because they don't invade and occupy your homeland and then start killing your next door neighbors. My question is, "are we too late to not be hated by everyone?" and "how long will it take for a snake to strike when we incessantly tease it with a stick?" Racistly Fascinating. This one was mostly for Noelle and Mom who work for The Man. ---------------- Listening to: Sarah Brightman - Schwere Träume

The Wong Family

Joleen Wong marries Lee Wong. The next year, the Wong’s have a new baby. The nurse brings over a lovely, healthy, bouncy, but definitely Caucasian, white baby boy. “Congratulations,” says the nurse to the new parents. “Well Mr.Wong, what will you and Mrs. Wong name the baby?” The puzzled father looks at his new baby boy and says, “well, two Wong’s don’t make a white, so I tink we name him Sum Ting Wong.

Egonomics

My name is Bryan Tanner. I am a recent graduate of Brigham Young University and I would love to come work for you and your company . I was first introduced to your book through your daughter, Lindsay, at Carriage Cove Apartments where we live. Lindsay's mom gave me your email address when I told her I am looking to gain business experience with growing companies who are lead by excellent individuals. I was especially impressed by your experience as a presenter with Franklin Covey. I thought it was quite coincidental when I found out that you were recently up in my hometown, Redmond, presenting ideas to Microsoft. Attached is a copy of my current resumé. Please let me know if you are interested in talking further. It would be my greatest wish if it were possible for you to create a use for me in your company. Sincerely, Bryan B. Tanner 801.735.9746

Photoshop at Education Week

2008 BYU Education Week has been great! However, during some slower hours of the day, I can sometimes be found sneaking off to the library to hone my photoshopping skills. At the library, there is a set of 8 discs called, "Total Training: Photoshop" by Deke McClelland. Each one of Deke's video lessons is about 25 minutes long and focuses on only one aspect or tool of photoshop. The two examples below are my practice for lessons on "layers" and "Composites". Click this one to see details enlarged! Additionally, here is a video of Deke "Unplugged" (a.k.a. On Speed) to give you a flavor of his personality. I must apologize for posting this when I know there are bad words in it. Just watch the first minute to see a portion without language. Isn't it always the way that the best people at anything are always the most eccentric? (Click on the TV monitor next to the play bar to make the video full screen.) CONTAINS 4 "H-words...
