12 Steps for embeding videos into blog posts:
*You can only upload saved files from your computer.
1. Find a video on YouTube you like.
2. Copy the url (not the web address) of the video. This video url was found on the Google search page in green text font underneath the video's description. You could also navigate to the actual YouTube webpage and find it in the "embed" box on the right side. Our example looks like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fVDGu82FeQ
3. Open a new web page: "vixy.net"
4. Paste the saved url in to the only box available. (Be sure that what you paste looks like the example directly below the web box. Usually you have to replace "www" with "http://". Our example now looks like: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-fVDGu82FeQ
5. Select the format you want. The default,.avi, is already what we want.
6. Click start. It will convert the original .flv format to .avi format.
*If the converting stops and says there is an error, you probably messed up in inputing it at first. No problem. Just open a new webpage to vixy.net and try again.
7. When it's done converting, it will ask you to save it somewhere to you hardrive. Go ahead and choose to save it somewhere you can easily find it again. Your desktop is easiest if you're going to delete the video after you upload it to your blog.
8. Once it is saved, you can choose to "add video" from your "new post" page on your blog by clicking the button on the top right that looks like a film strip. It's just to the right of the add photo button.
9. Click "Browse" and locate the saved file.
10. Once you've located the file, click it and select "open"
11. Finally, add a video title and check the box at the bottom and click "Upload"
12. All the need information will automatically be copied to where your cursor is on the "new post" preview page. If you want to move its location, just cut and paste everything inside the "<,>".

ReplyDeleteSo he was concerned about a speck of blood on his brother's cheek and peeved that his dad did not share his distress! That can really ruin a guy's day!
