I just found out that Terry Tate is a fictional character ! He never played for the NFL at all! Tate's real name is Lester Speight . He played a stint of division 1 college football in the 80's, but then turned Pro Wrestler, and then turned actor . His work is featured in famous movies, TV shows, and even video games. Regardless of him being a fictional character, he is still one of my favorite football players of all time. Here is a clip (edited for language) of his debut appearance at Filtcher & Sons, Inc.
